JSI WASTE LESS HAY FEEDER MOVIE

International award winning hay feeder and silver award winner at the Minnesota Inventors Congress.

Most horse owners don't like to feed  large round bales, because their horses eat and waste too much hay.

The JSI Feeder allows you to control  access with a turn of the crank.  This lets you control how much your horses eat.

                                                                OTHER BENEFITS

  • Saves hay.
  • Very little waste to haul out.
  • Horses eat over the top of the bale so leaves fall back on top of  hay, not the ground.
  • Spaces between rods are very easy to change.
  • Horses can't put their heads down into the hay.  This keeps dust out of their eyes/noses.
  • PVC pipe over rods helps prevent hair loss.
  • This feeder should last a lifetime.  (you may have to replace the wood)
  • Convenient - just a turn of the crank to feed hay.  No more wrestling square bales.
  • Comes with or without a roof if you choose to save money by installing it yourself.

We are now taking orders.  Please expect a 30 to 60 day wait time.

Small and large square bale feeders will be available soon which can be put in the fence line or box stall, so  you can load them from outside of the pen.

An automatic feed control is being developed for use on this feeder so you can leave for several days.

Panels lay over the hay and can be easily adjusted downward allowing animals to eat only as much as you want them to.  You can make  them clean up what is on the ground before you let the panels down more. Notice that leaves fall back on top of the bale - not on the ground.

The front of the feeder can be placed with the doors in line with the fence back a little. That way  you don't even have to go in the pen to let the panels down or to put another bale in the feeder.  This would also prevent them from rubbing on the door.

The space between the bars on the control panels can be changed very easily.  Simply remove three bolts, pull the rods out, and place them closer together or farther apart.  This will accommodate various sizes and species of animals such as horses, llamas, etc.

Because panels are bolted together rather then welded, rubber or plastic hoses can be placed over the bars.  This softens the bars, and will help avoid hairless areas and sores on the animal.

An optional permanent roof can be installed, or a tarp type cover can also be used, because with this feeder you don't drop the bale over the top.

This is the amount of waste after feeding eight round bales on loose, sandy ground in the JSI Feeder.

  RED = ELECTRIC FENCE

An electric wire can be run through a PVC pipe (or hose) to a wire parallel to (and out from) the   feeder.  This would help keep the animals from rubbing on  or kicking the back of the feeder.
